Magic City's Second Season Will Feature a Whole Bunch of Hookers
Whores galore! That, at least, is the impression we're getting from Magic City's most recent casting call, which advertises roles like "Asian Prostitute," "Elevator Girls," and "Attractive Natural Women."
If you're a woman who looks good naked, you might have a shot at playing a bit part in the show's second season, set to start airing on the Starz network in 2013.
The period drama announced a call for headshots, waist-up shots and, yes, full-body shots last week, allegedly to fill the following roles:
- "Asian Prostitute," a female between 18 and 30 years old, who's "very attractive," and "MUST BE WILLING TO BE FULLY NUDE." (Shouty caps lock theirs, not ours. No prudish hookers need apply, apparently.)
- "Elevator Girls," aka "VERY Attractive & Stunning Females" who play the part of Hispanic women who wear tight, revealing clothing and "who 'work' in the hotel." Oh, they "work"? As in "working girls," we assume.
- "Attractive Natural Women," which we assume is a nod to the troubles the casting director had looking for believably un-plastic women during its first season. These 18-40-year-old women should be "curvy but not overweight," and will play "various roles," which to us sounds like window dressing.
