If youre in Homestead and catch a whiff of barbeque and charcoal wafting through the air, chances are youre at Ribfest. This Saturday and Sunday, local grilling experts will take to the outdoors for two days of ribs, motorcycles, grills and entertainment while the country side of South Florida comes out courtesy of hay rides, buggy rides, horseshoes, and other fun activities.
And while Dad is gorging on something spicy and smoky or sweet and barbecued, Mom and Junior can head to the Winn-Dixie Family Fun Zone and get down with a bounce house, games, and a petting zoo. But since eatin is always a family affair, wrangle up the whole crew to sample the goods of a dozen award-winning ribbers vying for the title of best ribs.
Ribfest goes down at Homestead Air Reserve Park between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. Tickets cost $15 per person, and children under 10 enter free.
