Brickell, the fiscal whore of Babylon, wakes up in the morning with the sunlight gleaming off of her cocaine skyline. She stomps her cloven hooves, rears her goat head toward the heavens, and unleashes the ungodly shriek of wanton greed. After experiencing that in your tiny apartment, you put fire to a spliff, blow a cloud of demons across Biscayne Bay, and walk two blocks to Gordon Biersch. You raise a pint of corporate microbrew, lean back, and soak up the positive vibrations punching through the speakers of veteran roots-rock-reggae band Eyenity as the musicians rip into a four-hour showcase of new material. You give thanks for Mantra Sounds Records for putting it all together; then you order a big plate of chicken wings to soak up the smoke — all proof that a great reggae show can happen anywhere. Eyenity plays this Friday from 7 to 11 p.m., and there’s no cover.
