Can you smell it? Art Basel is less than three months away, and Riptide definitely plans to Basel it up when the art fairs come to town. But in the meantime, here is some Basel-related news:

After a successful move last year from reject January art fair to Basel satellite fair, Art Miami is on the move again. Last year, its tents where located on a barren lot on NW Second Avenue next to Wynwood Lofts. This year, the fair moves to the Midtown complex on Midtown Boulevard between NE 31st and 32nd Streets. Makes us wonder if Photo Miami, who called Midtown home last year, will also be returning to the area?

Also, SCOPE Miami announced it would return this year with 30 percent more exhibition space. Arguably Basel's biggest rival, it promises a 60,000-square-foot artist designed pavilion located once again in Wynwood's Roberto Clemente Park.

Finally, Art Basel proper released its schedule of events. While only a provisional version of what's to come, it still gives you a good idea of what the fair has in store. You can download the PDF here.
