Not doin’ so great? Normally, we’d refer you to the New Times Happy Hour smartphone app or one of the fine service providers that advertise in the back of this paper. But you’ll have one more option this Saturday at 7 p.m., when Wendy Williams brings her book tour to Books & Books (265 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables).
With “Ask Wendy,” the talk-show host turns the advice segment of her program into a collection of wisdom, quizzes, and nutso tales of people way more messed up than you. And why the heck not? The book, based on that recurring portion of The Bachelorette season premieres when some drunk guy barfs, has now been translated into more than 30 languages and is being adapted for film by Ang Lee. (OK, that last part isn’t true.)
In addition to reading from the book, Williams will offer advice to audience members, so make sure to bring your weirdest problems (or your voyeurism) to the woman known as “the friend in your head.” Speaking of which, if you need any advice about the friend on your head, Williams is a noted weave expert. Instead of just the one, there’s no reason not to take all of your weaves out for a night on the town.
