Honey, I Made Them Myself

Along with red roses and candlelit dinners, a drugstore box of chocolates is probably one of the most overworked Valentine’s Day gifts of all time. So if the card your mate gave you last year went something like “Roses are red, violets are blue, your moves in the sack are predictable, and your gifts are too,” read on. There’s nothing wrong with giving the gift of chocolate; it’s the kind of chocolate that matters. File the type that comes out of those red heart-shape boxes in the Never Give Again category. But the kind that pastry chef Bette Ricci will teach you how to make today? Go for it. Ricci will be teaching the fine art of truffle-making as well as giving her professional expertise on how to make all sorts of other sweet goodies, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Registration deadline is Friday, February 2.
Wed., Feb. 7, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
