Grove Grub

One of the greatest perks of living in paradise: You can eat (and drink) outdoors year-round, not just for a brief month or two in the summertime like those suckers in the Northeast. And lovers of all things edible can reap the benefits at this week’s Great Taste of the Grove, the 23-year-strong extravaganza dedicated to noshing, imbibing, and grooving in Miami’s bayfront hood. Attendees can nibble on edibles such as gazpacho soup from Chart House, tuna tartare from Timo’s at the Villa Mayfair, short-rib ravioli from the Ritz-Carlton, and other selections from Grove standbys, while listening to songs by the likes of Journey, Neil Diamond, and Billy Joel (tribute-band versions, of course) — plus local acts dueling harmonies in a Clash of the Decades. Because classic tunes always aid digestion. Libations will include Miami Club Rum cocktails, Sam Adams brews, and a host of wines including the Naked Grape portfolio, Vine Pro Imports, and Choco Noir. This is a family-friendly affair, so the little ones can run off a sugar rush at the Kids’ Fun Zone, complete with rock-climbing walls, bounce houses, and other high-energy diversions.
Sat., April 13, 12-7 p.m.; Sun., April 14, 12-7 p.m., 2013
