Four decades ago, aspirations of peace and love filled the nation. It was a time when music and fashion were a revolution all their own, and the hippie and flower child — free-spirited, strong-willed, and buck-naked — ruled America. Back in the day, Greynold’s Park was Miami’s own hippie hangout for jam sessions and peaceful demonstrations, and this Sunday, the clock gets turned back for the sixth annual Greynold’s Park Love-in.

A celebration of 1960s music, fashion, and memorabilia, this one-day free event (seven dollars for parking) offers family-friendly entertainment from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. that features a live concert from Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels. Other highlights include a vintage Volkswagen Bug exhibit, costume contests, and stations for DIY tie-dyeing and sidewalk chalk drawing for kids. Bring your innate sense of freedom, man, but not your coolers; they’re as forbidden as atomic bombs and Barry Goldwater buttons.
