Free Events This Week in Miami: Three Amigos, Jamaican Independence, and 100 Years of Miami Beach

With Miami Spice in full swing, we can guess your gluttony is riding shotgun this month. Despite the unavoidable increase in calorie intake, sampling the city's finest cuisine at a discount is a pretty stellar way to spend those paychecks. Lucky for you, we've got a flurry of free activities perfect for killing time between your many gobble sessions.

Monday

  • Miami Beach: 100 Years of Making Waves on WPBT2: Don't miss the premiere of this documentary showing Miami Beach's colorful transition from swampland to international tourist destination.
  • Ryan Sullivan at ICA Miami: This is your last week to view the artist's lively abstract paintings, which marked the museum's first institutional solo exhibition.
