Thankfully, between the viral sorority videos and overturned shoe trucks, this city keeps us focused on the important stuff — like nonstop entertainment. This week, we've got movies, grand openings, and art deco delights, all wonderfully free of charge. 


Monday
  • Blue Velvet at Lincoln Garage: Dive into the David Lynch Movie Series with his 1986 neo-noir mystery, and view a prefeature showing of Blood, Sweat and Trees: The Story of Sawetoa documentary about how the Asheninka community of Saweto, an indigenous village in the Amazon, has been victimized by illegal logging on its property.
Tuesday
  • Q&A with Fusion and the 19 Million Project at Univision Noticias: Hear from journalists from Fusion who were recently in Rome for the 19 Million Project, a summit sponsored by Fusion and Univision involving journalists, coders, designers, digital strategists, and human rights advocates who united to draw attention to the refugee crisis consuming Europe.
