The original Dirty Harry used a Smith & Wesson and an arsenal of one-liners to defeat his foes. But on South Beach, Dirty Hairy is Livs newest weekly party, and slayer of all stereotypes currently plaguing the scene. Sure, youve heard promoters make that claim before, but once Plum TV senior producer and Finding Your Cure (FYC) creator, Michael Honablue, unloads his weapons of mass corruption on SoBe nightlife, the mission will be made clear. If youre into generic parties where dudes wear glittery shirts and nose-in-the-air bouncers run the show, prepare to be unprepared for whats about to go down each Wednesday night. I feel like the Dirty Hairy party is going to make history like a modern incarnation of Tony Wilson and New Order's brainchild, the Hacienda nightclub, promises Honablue. People should expect the unexpected. That's the way FYC works, you will never know what will happen next or who or what will be thrown in the mix, on my quest to finding your cure.
FYC outgrew its former homebase in just a matter of weeks by bringing together live music and a multiform collection of Miamis cool kids and airing the whole scene on Plums avant garde nightlife show. The revolution was televised and now its moving on to a space more fitting of its huuuge personality. Alexis Mincolla, founder of Bella Rose's infamous "Black Sunday" party told me It's going to be the perfect storm", declared Honablue. And I will be there with my mic, Plum TV camera crew, and an extra change of clothes.
LIV is bringing the A-Team of alternative nightlife's party and event producers such as Subversive, POPLIFE, Dim Mak, and Overthrow who have all dug deep into their Rolodexes to secure some amazing live talent. Kid Sister and Flosstradamus are on tonight, and Chromeo and Diplo are on deck for next week. We will not be making it rain napkins here, warned Honablue. It's not that kind of party.
