Fight for Your Right to Dance

There’s only one way to properly commemorate our nation’s deliverance from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Dancing. Lots of it. So come join NYC Meets Miami, this weekend’s seven-event, multi-club Fourth of July bonanza organized by New York nightlife promoter Rob Diesel and featuring Big Apple-based DJs Nyse and Abrupt meeting 305-er Kaiser for a full four days of hip-hop, house, and electro funk.

On Thursday night, the 96-hour marathon will kick off at B.E.D. (929 Washington Ave., Miami Beach) with an official weekend welcome party. Then the following day, the Carlton Hotel (1433 Collins Ave., Miami Beach) will host the first in a trio of pool parties scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons. Next, the after-dark action will resume with Friday night’s White party at Dream (1532 Washington Ave., Miami Beach) and Saturday’s main event at Ink (717 Washington Ave., Miami Beach), featuring special guest DJ Camilo, before, finally, the whole thing comes to a close with the festival farewell party at Hed Kandi (1200 Washington Ave., Miami Beach) on Sunday. All evening events begin at 10. Full-access VIP passes cost $80 through, and individual events cost $35 at the door.
Fri., July 3, 10 p.m.; Sat., July 4, 10 p.m.; Sun., July 5, 10 p.m., 2009
