October 22, MIFF GEMS 2015 - Opening Night Celebration at Cubaocho Museum & Performing Arts Center
Guests celebrated opening night of Miami International Film Festival’s GEMS 2015, with the pre-screening party of The Clan at Cubaocho Museum & Performing Arts Center. Attendees enjoyed cocktails, hearty culinary selections, and a live 1950s tribute band to set the scene for the opening night film's, Brooklyn, time period.
October 22, Driftwood Room VIP Preview at Nautilus, A SIXTY Hotel

October 23, 2nd Annual Chef Showdown at South Beach Seafood Festival
Over 800 people came out to the 2nd Annual Chef Showdown, the chef competition evening of the South Beach Seafood Festival week, participating in an unforgettable evening while they sipped, sampled, voted, and experienced on stage live battles between Miami and Miami Beach’s top chefs. Aside from the mouth-watering cook-off, guests also enjoyed a full Sustainable Seafood showcase from Whole Foods Market, a wine experience from The Hess Collection paired with sushi from the new SOHO Bay, oyster girls showcasing oysters from Midtown Oyster Bar, full open bar sponsored by Bacardi and Heineken Light, a DJ, dancing, raffles, auctions and more.
October 23, Austin Mahone at Prime Italian
Singer Austin Mahone was riding around Miami in style with his souped-up Range Rover decked out in pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Mahone was spotted on the way to wine and dine their way at Prime Italian.
October 24, Locust Projects - Smash & Grab
Each year this event brings contemporary artists and collectors together to support Locust Projects. The Smash & Grab Fundraiser is one of Locust Projects’ largest sources of revenue for the year. The proceeds provide essential funding for exhibitions and programming. There is no other fundraiser quite like this one. The event revolves around a raffle , for which over one hundred local, national and international artists have donated artwork — enough so that each raffle ticket is guaranteed to win an artwork. Tickets are drawn at random during the party, with the winner getting their choice of artwork (i.e, first called gets first pick, and so on). The result is a fun way to place artwork into collections, connect with Miami’s art community, and support Locust Projects.
October 24, The Juice Foundation Celebrates 5th Annual Fashion for a Cause at The Moore Building
Two time NBA Champion, Juwan Howard, and his wife Jenine Howard of The Juice Foundation hosted the foundation’s 5th Annual Fashion For A Cause; A Kid’s Fashion Show at the Miami Design District’s Moore Building. The show was hosted by Aisha Hinds star of True Blood, Beyond the Lights and CBS Under The Dome, and Mo McRae star of Fox’s Empire and Sons of Anarchy. The evening was a family affair complete with healthy food booths, fun and games for the kids. The Petit Parade show was sponsored by partner Macy’s, Inc and the enchanting runway featured superstar oncology patients from University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as some Miami Heat players including Chris “Birdman” Andersen, Mario Chalmers, Ray Allen and former Heat stars Alonzo Mourning and Juwan Howard, as well as Miami Heat Coach, Erik Spoelstra.
