Miamis summer lull is almost here, and somebody wants to say goodbye. Erick Morillo wants to give one last hurrah before departing to where all good house DJs retire for the summer Ibiza. A legend who has been making nightclub patrons dance since the early 90s, he has remixed industry powerhouses such as Whitney Houston, Macy Gray, Bob Sinclar, and Diana Ross. And his Subliminal Records is among the most respected labels in the industry.
This Sunday at 10 p.m., musical marathon Sundance will host Morillo at SET, a venue we wisely chose as 2009s Best Dance Club. And how could you not? At this Opium Group hot spot, ultra-luxurious design meets bottle-service debauchery. Still, its a place where the door can be more frustrating than rush-hour traffic on I-95. But when you finally bribe your way in, youll tell yourself: This was so worth it! Tickets cost $75, but having your ears titillated by a house demigod: priceless.
