Earlier this month, Adriana de Moura, the Brazilian star of The Real Housewives of Miami, shook things up on the show by attacking costar Joanna Krupa with a slap to the face. If you’re a fan of interpersonal drama, catfights, or reality show mayhem, it was pretty much the best thing to happen on television since the last season of Bad Girls Club ended. If you’re Brazilian, however, you probably worried that de Moura wasn’t exactly representing your nationality in the proudest light. Ease your anxieties Monday at Books & Books (265 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables) by getting in touch with some of Brazil’s literary stars. Granta, a quarterly literary magazine, celebrates its newest issue, “The Best of Young Brazilian Novelists,” with appearances by two of its authors. Vinicius Jatobá is a Rio de Janeiro-born literary critic at work on his first novel, and Cristhiano Aguiar, from Campina Grande, won the Osman Lins Award for his collection of short stories, Ao Lado du Muro.
