There’s a lot of optimism surrounding the Miami Dolphins this year. At press time, they had a perfect 3-0 record, despite what many pundits believed was an incredibly difficult opening schedule. They are among seven teams in the NFL that remained perfect through this season’s first three games, meaning that, at least for now, the team can consider itself one of the league’s best. For their sixth game, the Dolphins face the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens this Sunday at 1 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium (2269 NW 199th St., Miami Gardens). Even if the Fins don’t win another game, fans can rest assured that Ryan Tannehill is the quarterback the team has been searching for since Dan Marino retired. And that’s enough to make this season a success. The Ravens won’t be impressed. Though the team went through a slash-and-burn off-season of losing players such as Anquan Boldin, Ray Lewis, and Ed Reed to retirement or free agency, Baltimore is looking as strong as ever, led by star QB Joe Flacco. Not to worry — the vaunted Miami D will make sure Flacco becomes well acquainted with the Sun Life Stadium grass.
