The Caribbean has given the world many cultural wonders — bright and colorful patterns, frenzied dance moves, jerk seasoning — but it’s uniquely laid-back and fun-loving dub and reggae musical styles have taken hold of the world in ways most genres never can. Reggae is international, and part of the appeal is the relentless dedication of island artists to spreading love and making the world a better place. Such is the aim of Kings and Queen “Bring Back the Love,” featuring performances by Beenie Man, Lady Saw, and Mad Cobra this Saturday at the Dezer Collection Car Museum (2000 NE 146th St., North Miami). Dutty-wine around the dance floor to classic rhythms from some of the livest artists in the genre. Beenie Man, AKA the “King of Dancehall,” topped charts with “Who Am I,” “Dude,” and “Girls Dem Sugar.” You know Lady Saw from the hits “I’ve Got Your Man,” “Sycamore Tree,” and “Heels On.” Mad Cobra will have you grindin’ slow to “Flex” and workin’ the sweat with “Dis Dem Anyweh.” It’s an authentic celebration of the best in the business, and they’ll leave you feeling the love and positivity as much as your thighs will feel the pain. The event begins at 10 p.m., and tickets cost $25. Call 954-242-4067 or visit seetdeh.com.
