A celebration that brings together art, food, and music, Carnaval on the Mile is one thoroughfare you will thoroughly enjoy. Stroll along Miracle Mile in Coral Gables and peruse a variety of art vendors offering wares such as handmade jewelry, crafts, sculptures, and paintings.
Live musical performances will provide the soundtrack to your day. Three concert stages erected along the Mile will showcase 36 scheduled bands and entertainers. Noteworthy acts include Asaf Avidan, Red Baraat, and Pedrito Martinez.
You’ll surely work up an appetite at this daylong affair, so a handful of local restaurants will set up shop to keep your belly full. In short, Carnaval on the Mile is a block party full of flavor and culture, and it’s happening this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. till 10 p.m. on Miracle Mile in the Gables. The festival — organized by Carnaval Miami, a nonprofit that provides funds for the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana — is free to attend. Call 305-644-8888 or visit carnavalmiami.com.
