Considering we live in a picturesque tropical paradise, most of us spend way too much time in dark, crowded clubs. It’s time to soak up that vitamin D and break free of the routine.
The Museum of Contemporary Art of North Miami has just the thing, with classes that will immerse you in all the natural beauty of our city, all while honing your creative mojo. No need to be an expert. Enchanted With Art classes are for everyone, from stick-figure specialists to full-blown artists. Even Michelangelo started somewhere.
This Thursday, the group will meet at Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park (1725 NE 135th St., North Miami) to channel van Gogh. You can fine-tune your brushstrokes while immortalizing a lush subtropical hammock. Bask in the beauty of a charming forest and create inspired art alfresco. All the masters know nature is the best muse.
The class runs from 10 a.m. to noon and costs $15 for members or $20 for nonmembers. Materials are included. Call 305-893-6211 or visit mocanomi.org.
