Nice review, but how is Il Divo a "mediocrity"? It's fast and flawed, but it's amazing to watch and feel. And though the story in This Must Be the Place feels kind of perfunctory, it's still one of the most unique films about celebrity in a long time. And Sean Penn is hilarious in it. Sorrentino's directing style is so seductive I don't see how he could make anything mediocre. And for some reason, one of his best films, The Consequences of Love, was never distributed in the U.S.
