Now that the Miami Dolphins have gotten a four-game losing streak, ended by way of a miraculous Cameron Wake safety, out of their system, it’s time to get back to winning some football games and making a second-half-of-the-season push to the playoffs. The Dolphins finished the first half of the season with a 4-4 record, and a considerably easier schedule should equal some wins.
The team has shown it can keep itself in games. Unfortunately, the Ryan Tannehill and Mike Wallace connection hasn’t lived up to the hype; Daniel Thomas looks like he should be in the Canadian Football League; and the whole Richie Incognito bullying Jonathan Martin thing might prove to be a distraction too big for any team to deal with. And in the midst of it all, the San Diego Chargers are coming to Sun Life Stadium (2269 SW 199th St., Miami Gardens) this Sunday. They’re also in the hunt for the playoffs in the most competitive AFC Division, which won’t make the Dolphins’ job any easier.
