Stupid question Giselle. Mr. Campbell you are 100% right. The LBA has been very strategic in getting the Miami Dade Public Schools to advance its agenda. Do your research and see how many of the charter school management companies are members of the LBA. I bet you will also find that the contracts to build these elaborate schools in Doral, Miramar, and other communities are heavily stacked in their pockets. Rudy Crew, the former Superintendent was run out of town because he would not let the LBA swindle Miami-Dade tax payers. (I bet you would never find his picture on the cover of their magazine) I also wonder why the Miami Herald has remained relatively silent on this matter. They seemed to have a news story every week during the previous school board administration.
