To those that think Chick-Fil-A has only donated "a few thousand dollars" to anti-gay causes:

SECOND LGBTs were not angry about what Dan Cathy feels about marriage equality, he has donatred 5 MILLION to avowed HATE GROUPS who actively denouce LGBTs and our families, try to stop anti-bullying laws, and funded KILL THE GAYS in Uganda.

THIRD Dan Cathy PURPOSELY insulted the gay/lesbian community as a PR stunt, he was caught on Twitter saying he had lit up Facebook with angry gays.

FOURTH eat where ever the hell you want...but if you want a big lard drenched wad of waffle fry, don't include me as a BROTHER.

That is a false statement and I provided facts to show that CFA's waffle fries are made from 100 percent refined peanut oil which is free of trans fat and cholesterol. In fact, CFA's entire menu is free of trans fat.

There is serious misinformation and exaggeration about donations made by Chick-fil-A. Of the groups CFA donates to, the only organizations that could really be considered anti-gay are Exodus International and the Family Research Council, and they received just $1000 each, and not the $5 million you claim.

When you consider that CFA's total donations in the past three years is $68 million to all charitable causes, the amount given to these two entities represents only 0.00294% of all their donations.

They are nevertheless being demonized because of relatively minor issues.

The reality is that CFA isn't donating to these groups because they are anti-gay, but because they are pro-marriage; there is a difference. CFA's main focus with these donations is to help strengthen existing marriages, especially those in crisis.

The two main organizations that everyone mentions as anti-gay are Exodus Internationation and Family Research Council and they only received a $1000 each from CFA and not the $5 million you claim. The other organizations are NOT anti-gay, but pro-marriage. There is a difference!

The other readers here need to know that your sources are from Huffington's "Gay Voices' and other ultra-liberal sites, so they are far from being objective.

1st. "Like Roger Fisher, the great Harvard scholar who helped engineer the 1979 Eygpt-Israel peace treaty, I want to broker a truce" are you really trying to compare yourself to a Harvard Scholar?! yeah right!

2nd. "thousands of students at the University of New Mexico and North Carolina's Elon University demanded that school officials at both colleges kick out Chick-fil-A franchises" and "In Santa Barbara, California, dozens of gay rights advocates protested at a new Chick-fil-A" most likely those same people ended up going to Chick-fil-A for at least one meal that week, especially the ones at both of the above mentioned Universities.

3rd. "Despite the calls for a boycott, Chick-fil-A is one of the most popular fast-food joints in the nation." you can run all the polls and ask people all the questions you want, but it really comes down to what they will end up doing and not what they are saying.

4th. "I can't turn my back on the LGBT community" of course you can't but mostly, it's not necessarily a good idea to turn to turn that general area in their direction haha
