The Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show features 3,000 boats and 2,000 exhibitors. Some of those boats will be given away in a raffle. So what will you do with your free boat? Hit the high seas? About 70 percent of Earth is covered by water, after all. And about 60 percent of the human body is composed of water. Chart a course for personal discovery!
For the landlubbers out there who hate boats but like riding buses, the ticket price includes free shuttles between all three boat show locations. There are also five days of seminars and clinics, including one called “2013 America’s Cup 72ft Cats and 2016 Olympic Racing Cats! What’s Happening!!” Cats is probably just short for catamarans, but what if it isn’t? There might be 72-foot-tall cats at the boat show, not to mention racing cats from the year 2016! What’s happening?
Don’t miss finding out. The Bachelor’s pecs will still be waiting on your DVR when you get home from the boat show. Unless, of course, the 72-foot-tall cats decide this is the weekend to avenge centuries of jingle-bell collars and litter boxes.
The Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show runs Thursday through Monday, with the main event taking place at the Miami Beach Convention Center (1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach), and other activities taking place at Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center (1635 N. Bayshore Dr., Miami) and Miamarina at Bayside (401 Biscayne Blvd., Miami).
