Ah, Ford Championship Weekend. It’s when NASCAR gets its final kick at the close of the season, when champs are crowned into infamy, when Budweiser is sprayed over crowds like Dom Perignon. And it all happens right in our back yard, year after year. Kicking off Friday and continuing through Sunday, the grand NASCAR soiree will take over Homestead-Miami Speedway (1 Speedway Blvd., Homestead). The Camping World Truck Series Championship will be decided in the first race, the Ford EcoBoost 200, at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The Nationwide Series and Sprint Cup Series Championships will follow on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The track is BYOB, and there’s camping available on-site, so you can really let loose and make a whole weekend of it.
