At the end of 2010, Toronto-based electro-pop trio Dragonette released "Hello," a sprightly collaborative single with DJ Martin Solveig. Though too late to make the cut for year-end lists and recaps, the track — boasting three centerpiece hooks: a gleefully tickled piano lick, singer and chief songwriter Martina Sorbrara's crystal-clear vocals, and some well-placed drops — was perfectly situated to become one of the biggest hits of 2011.

The ingredients were obviously flammable. And Dragonette was not afraid to light a match in the form of the song's accompanying, superquirky music video featuring Solveig squaring off in a tennis match against French producer Bob Sinclar. Following the song's breakout success and some steady touring that has taken them to South by Southwest as well as this month's Coachella, the group has also begun the process of slowly leaking new material, such as "The Right Woman," a crunchy electro ditty rooted firmly in the twinkling production of disco and house.
And if this new cut is any indication, Dragonette is nowhere near done pumping out hits. Matt Preira
