More About

Once upon a time, Miami’s only connections to Russia were the gorgeous models sipping free vodka in our elite lounges and the bath houses at 54th and Collins. Zoetic Stage cofounder and award-winning playwright Michael McKeever has stepped in with another tie: Moscow, his comedy about the changing tides in early-’60s Miami, running Thursday through April 15 at the Carnival Studio Theater at the Adrienne Arsht Center. The play follows members of a once-prominent South Florida family whose privileged cage is rattled by events such as JFK’s assassination, the Cold War, and the sudden influx of Cuban immigrants into South Florida. The onstage talent includes three-time Carbonell Award winner Irene Adjan in the role of Lorelei Montefiore Porter, decorated actor and original Zoetic Stage member Tom Wahl as Clayton Porter, and New Times’ 2010 Best Actress, Margery Lowe, portraying Lucy Montefiore. The show will mark the world premiere of McKeever’s new work and the last run of Zoetic Stage’s 2011-12 season.
Wednesdays-Sundays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: March 29. Continues through April 15, 2012
