We can't be sure if these guys were sober. But they were serious, and Surfer Blood went on to create one of 2010's most beloved indie debuts. That record, Astro Coast, was chock full of chill guitar riffs, catchy yet under-the-radar hooks, and mellow retro atmospheres — everything needed for hipster gold.

Over the past couple of years, the four-piece has continued to turn heads, even opening for every indie kid's favorite band, the Pixies, on last year's Doolittle Lost Cities tour. Now the Blood boys have a new EP called Tarot Classics. And to help promote it, they're hitting the road.

Most of Surfer Blood's dates will take place on the West Coast. Of course, though, these almost-local guys are showing Miami some love by playing a set for Bardot's Living Room Sessions this Thursday. In this intimate setting, it's sure to be mesmerizing.
