So, an obviously biased activist profits from exploiting someone who got into a questionable position? Nothing new there. Ana, tell the truth. You were offended by her being nude & decided that you could exploit the animal issue to debase Kim as an artist.
*yawn* You are about 5 months late on the issue and stand alone in your ignorance. The issue isn't nudity. What took place during the exhibit and directly afterwards was animal neglect and cruelty. The guilty party here is Primary Flight and they will always be associated with animal neglect and cruelty. Primary Flight asked for donations and then did not provide the money collected to Earth-n-Us Farm where they dumped these two very sick pigs. I personally donated and raised over $1,200 for their care at the sanctuary I drove them to. After I spoke with Miru Kim and advised her of Primary Flight's neglect she attempted to raise donations and personally donated as well. This is all about Primary Flight exploiting and abandoning two animals, leaving them for dead.
Both pigs were within one week of dying from pneumonia when I was personally contacted weeks later by Primary Flight to rescue them and bail the gallery out of the mess they had created. There was no *biased* activism prior to the exhibit or about the exhibit nor would there be.
The fact remains both pigs were neglected and almost died and this is exactly what happens when you bring animals along to make a buck. Miru Kim would have been just fine in her naked box all alone or with pig cutouts or a video like she has done in the past. You don't need to use animals to sell art. That was all the gallery's idea. Her photos are powerful enough to stand alone. It was the negligence of the gallery that caused the downward spiral in the health of the animals and their failure to honor their commitment to Miru Kim regarding the follow up care for those pigs.
The pigs were deprived of medication, food and a verbal contract to provide for them financially and that's well known. The lesson the gallery should learn is "Don't exploit and abandon animals and you won't have a problem."
