Germans are geniuses. Besides inventing the term fahrvergnügen (driving enjoyment), they also produced We Are the Night(Wir Sind Die Nacht), a film that combines two of the sexiest, hottest archetypes known to humans: lesbians and vampires. The Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (MGLFF) will throw a fundraiser this Sunday that combines booze and a screening of the film. The flick is about a gang of lesbian vampires living by their own ruthless set of rules and extinguishing human lives with no remorse. Sounds pretty hot, right? The best part is that attendees will also score a free drink, countless free appetizers, and admission to the afterparty. You get all of this for only $20 -- plus you'll be helping MGLFF, which has become the premier showcase of LGBTQ films. The cocktail reception begins at 8 and ends at 9, at which time the gang of lesbian fangers will take over the screen. The reception, screening, and 11 p.m. afterparty will all take place at the Stage. What self-respecting lesbian vampire lover goes home before midnight anyway? Not us.
