Cuban music isn't just good for your ears. It's good for your soul. Maybe it's because most Miamians grew up with those sounds, so they're ingrained in us. Or maybe it's because Latin musicians are just so in tune with their emotions that they can hit us in the heart without even trying. Either way, 3 de la Habana fills us with good feelings while still letting us swing our hips a bit.

Consisting of Germán Pinelli, his wife Ana María, and his younger brother Ari, Los 3 didn't arrive in the States until 2007, even though the trio has been performing since 1993. Already renowned in Cuba, the threesome left after Germán and Ana Maria's 2-year-old daughter died suddenly. And since relocating, the band has stayed just under the radar, despite constantly touring across the country, from Miami to NYC to California and back.

Los 3's music is lively, even when not entirely happy. It's the kind of vibe that keeps you dancing well into the night — slow feet, tired eyes, and all.
