No two things in life are more delightful than laughter and orgasms. Thus, the title of the upcoming comedic spectacle Laffgasmis brilliantly monikered. The all-inclusive comedy show headlined by Andy Pita will bring stand-up, sketch comedy, and viral videos to one stage. Pita describes it as “ultimate comedy.” The show will be performed in both English and Spanish and will feature dance, music, poetry, art, and, of course, comedy. Not only is Pita a man who makes people laugh through his intense characters, but also he is a member of the Latin pop group Los Primeros. The Hialeah-born Cuban-American may admire Jim Carrey, but his viral videos such as “Eslow Motion” are more Calle Ocho than Canadian. Pita will act out his familiar YouTube roles while local comedians from the Have-Nots troupe play supporting roles in this jovial endeavor. Look for Ricky Cruz, who has been featured on Comedy Central and HBO; Nery Saenz, New Times’ Best Stand-Up Comic 2011; and the backbones of the Have-Nots, Dominic Perenzin and Mike Mercadal. Laffgasmhits the Riviera Theatre Saturday.
