El_tiburon_13, R U still trying to figure out what Black people made in Miami...LOOK UNDER YOUR FEET! Miami was a swamp in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
When Henry Flagler built the Florida East Coast Railway who were the workers (Henry Flagler didn't dig any ditches). Many were former slaves; yes Black Men! In the early reconstruction period after the civil war many Blacks were made slave labor through the enforcement of "The Black Codes" which inflicted severe penalties for Blacks who even walked in town after a certain hour. "The Black Codes" allowed the Police to arrest Blacks for almost anything and many of the victims of "The Black Codes" were forced into servitude.
After the railway was built many stayed in the area and became sharecroppers creating the agricultural base for South Florida. Also the draining of the everglades and creation of Biscayne Bay and it's islands (Palm, Hibiscus, Star etc...) was done by Black Men. The Whites couldn't control the Indians who were natives of the area and could easily elude the Whites who tried to capture and/or kill them.
So to answer your question the very foundation of those skyscrapers you note were created by Black people. The agricultural base of Florida was created by Black people. You must realize the very foundation of this NATION was created and made by Black people primarily as slave labor...ALL OF AMERICA OWES BLACK AMERICA A DEBT OF GRATITUDE AND MORE!

Yes, many immigrants have also been subjected to racism but each group be they Italian, Irish, Jewish, English, German, Slavic, Cuban, or whatever have been able to assimilate seamlessly into Majority society. You are a great example of this. I am sure Majority society accepts you as being White (yeah you are passing brother man, probably can't even speak your Mother tongue anymore either). But, there is a thing making Blacks stand out and less able to seemlessly assimilate no matter how hard they try. This is what makes Black people unique in the psychopathology of American racism and Black peoples situation in America.

Yeah, Black children stay clean and good so you can STILL be the object of racial discrimination! I have a direct example that I have experienced personally of how INSTITUTIONAL RACISM has affected me and other Black people. These are the kind of acts by financial organizations that directly impact Black peoples ability to live in the USA.
A bank will (and did) loan me (A Black Man) $50,000.00 to buy a car yet will not loan me that same 50K to start a business (the next minute after being accepted for the car loan I was rejected for a business loan WHY??? A LOAN IS A LOAN RIGHT)!!!! Is it starting to make sense yet?
The powers that be (the system, the man, Mr. Charlie etc....) WANT Blacks to be in debt as a consumer with a devalued piece of metal but will not allow you to become a producer of money to grow a business that can sustain you and your families life.
It should be painfully obvious that the system doesn't care whether or not Black people can make a living at all; all they want us to do is buy their goods which we are so eager to do (Gucci, Yves St. Laurent, Rolex, Cadillac, Mercedes, etc...) even to the point of going into severe debt and damaging our ability to acquire anything else in life. INSTITUTIONAL RACISM must stop.

All elite groups look out for their own more than others. Whites, hispanics and blacks. There are more hispanic politicians in Miami, so more of them are more likely protected. Blacks also cover for each other here. Your argument that because hispanics cover hispanic politiicans wrongdoing, doesn't mean some local african american politicians have not been also corrupt. Since they are in fewer positions of power, they might have a harder time covering for each other though (if they want to). Another fact: minority groups who have very limited representation, are sometimes less likely to admit weaknesses which exist amoungst one of their own, simply because they know the majority culture might pounce on it. So, they particularly cover for their own. When minority groups have increased control, and stereotypes fade, they are more likely to allow good and bad to be discovered and discussed from their group. After all, they know by then that mainstream culture does not define them only by the representation of a handful, and they can let the realities of good and bad from, yes, even their group, come out. Local african american polticians have hardly been less corrupt, in Miami, there is an equal opportunity, taken by all ethnic groups generously, to rip off the public and taxpayers, almost, whenever they can.

Hispanics consists of whites (yes, pure European) , blacks, mongolian (asian, native, etc.), and everything in between, just like Americans. The "Hispanic" stereotype you see in the media are normally mixed or natives of the Americas, which is not a fair or truthful representation of people of Spanish descent. Being born in a particular part of the world is not what determines race. The term "Hispanic" is an invention. All it does is make it easier to discriminate. Black is the one who is right here.

If you go back a little and look at a bigger picture you will see that at the end it was the responsibility of voters, so used to complaint in vain, so used to the opportunities to comment non sense and stupidities on every social website but at the time to show real opinion, by voting, for example; against the controlling group, they stay at home and do not go out to vote. It has to pass the guy that put his money to stop our previus mayor, someone who lead the sheep, for people start thinking and move in the correct direction.
So at the end the rage has a higher motive, our own incapacity. Lets not put the disgrace but in ourselves: hispanic, blacks and decent whites.

I did a study in college many years ago. The study was to show if there were any differences in people empowerment based on race, hereditary or culture. The bottom line was that if you took a person riding a 1 horsepower horse down a dirt road and put him behind a steering wheel controling 200 horses, more than "cultural shock" takes place. Then you empower this person, in a material jungle, you've got a problem. That's why most of these people speak before they think. They don't have a clue and wing it most of time. You ignorant fool, you have bought into the misconception that the American blacks were the only slave and that no one else can understand the plight, Cubans as well of most in the Caribbean have suffer the same historical plight until the 1800s. However, the main difference between the blacks slave that landed in the Caribbean and those that landed in the US is that in the Caribbean we worked and sacrificed for our countries, earning our social standing which included numerous black presidents, going back to the early 1900s. We did not stretched our hands for money, we expanded our chest and constantly cured our hands of calluses to put food on our tables, we did not sabotaged our neighbors successes we encouraged them, we did not blame the Anglos we learn from them to be better than what we were, so that we would never be socially and intellectually weak again, as we were. And as hash as it is to say it, we who have ancestors from Africa, it's obvious that we in the west have evolve much better than our distance cousins, like a child being taken from a crack house and placed in an affluent home.

A Black person has to work 10 times as hard as any other race in this country to land a job, even with the proper education. It just so happened that we started believing that we are entitled to welfare,section 8, and medicaid that we lost sight of what we fought for. America is not Cuba. She welcomes everyone.
