The oldest liquor license in Dade County belongs to Tobacco Road. Hall-of-famer B.B. King has played there, John Lee Hooker has performed there, and more blues legends than you can roll a barrel of whiskey at have taken a trip to the Road. It's the type of place where you can swing your wang-dang-doodle till you find the right woman — and then you can be her backdoor man.
These days, the hardest-working blues man on the tri-county scene is Big Poppa E, and he brings his signature jazzified sound to the stage for this weekly residency. If you've never seen the dude wail, it's worth the trip. And if you've seen him a hundred times, it's still a night well spent.
Have a Scotch, a bourbon, a beer, some ribs, and a good time.
