There are about two dozen domestic microbrews ($3.50 to $6.50, except for 22-ounce bottles). Monday-through-Friday happy hour features specials such as pints of Narragansett lager for $2.
Desserts such as brownies, pecan pie, apple-blueberry pie, and an impeccably creamy banana pudding are prepared in Sparky's kitchen. There's also a perfect coconut cream cake made by a neighbor.

I remember Hans(and Mike Moran), from "Who's in the Grove." In 1989, my former business partner and I used to make a tiramisu("tiramisoup") for their dessert menu.(I made it a little too loose one time) I came by there one day and Mike was making their "Coca-Cola Ribs." It sounded a little strange at first, but after I tried 'em, I was won over! Great to see they're kicking ass, I'll have to make it by their place real soon...
Sparky's Rocks!!! I have lunch there all the time and have always left completely satisfied. The pulled pork and brisket is awesome and the fish with the sauce that goes with it is out of this world. I try to have the banana pudding for dessert but I am usually so full....I get it to go. Everyone that has come there with me has absolutely loved it too, including a couple a good old boys from Georgia that are used to good ol' southern bbq. As far as the sauces go, I like to mix the lava sauce with sparky's own and wow is all I can say. They also have had live music on Friday night in the past which I hope to see again..The Charlie Steiner Trio Rock too!!!
Great! Tried it yesterday for dinner. Had some trouble finding it since Google Maps insisted that it was in the corner. Everything I expected and MORE! I loved having the domestic microbrew options. The BBQ was very flavorful (didn't need any of the 5 homemade sauces). I was very pleased to meet the owner and see how much pride he takes in the quality of his food. I will be back! Great job for the owners! Thanks New Times for finding this place.
P.S. I was sold when I walked in and saw the delicious fuit pies. Apple/Blueberry pie with a homemade flaky crust? Sign me up any day!
Been here a few times, the food is alright but not spectacular. Only BBQ place in downtown. Be prepared to wait a long time for your food if the place is more than 30% full.
ZIP CODE IS WRONG! its 33132 just tried to lock it into my GPS for a ride after work!
