Billed as a “five-day fun frenzy,” Sizzle Miami is America’s premier gay urban celebration. Started as a one-day party called Sex on the Beach, Sizzle has turned into a nearly full week of bowling, cheese and wine socials, film screenings, comedy and R&B acts, and water sports. Oh yeah, and clubbing — lots and lots of clubbing. The festivities begin Thursday at 10 p.m. at Miami Live, the official Sizzle Miami Jump-Off Party at Karu & Y, where hot beats and hotter bods will abound. Friday, hit the seven seas during the Sizzle Booze Cruise aboard the Biscayne Lady, a $5 million luxury yacht featuring eight-foot ceilings and room for 380 partygoers. It departs from the Hyatt Regency Miami (400 SE Second Ave., Miami) at 11:15 a.m., and food and your first drink are free. Be sure to attend Soak Him at the Pool, Saturday’s Sizzle event du jour, from Bongo’s waterside entrance at the American Airlines Arena (601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami). And clothing is optional during Sunday’s Haulover Beach Patrol VIII (10800 Collins Ave., Miami Beach), where you can flaunt your lack of tan lines.
