Powerhouse is a word that immediately comes to mind to describe UK DJ-producer Mark Knight.
For one thing, he boasts some of the industry's highest accolades. There's his Grammy nomination for work on the Black Eyed Peas' multi-platinum album The E.N.D., three of the biggest-selling records on Beatport's Best Sellers List, and an IDMA nomination for his Toolroom Knights weekly radio show. But it's as Toolroom label boss that Knight has truly achieved world domination. With an all-star artist roster including the likes of Deadmau5, David Guetta, Dirty South, and Fatboy Slim, A&R man Mark Knight is the veritable pimp daddy of international dance music charts.
It follows then that Mark Knight the DJ is one of the world's undisputed masters of big-room EDM. It's a reputation he has earned by headlining major festivals and clubs such as Miami's Ultra Music Festival, the Terrace at Space Ibiza, and London's Ministry of Sound. Miami is actually a second home to Knight, who for years has presided as a Space resident. And just this past February saw the release of Toolroom Records Miami 2011, a formidable collection showcasing some of last year's hottest chart-toppers and plenty of exclusives in anticipation of WMC and Miami Music Week.
Catch Knight when he returns to Space for one of his infamous marathon sets this Saturday.
