Moms are tricky. They throw around guilt like a boomerang, pull the you'll miss me when I'm gone card at every opportunity, and generally cast a disapproving eye on career, relationships, and fashion. But none of that means squat. There's nothing in this world like the love of a good mum (e.g., Mother Teresa, Mother Earth, Mama Cass). So don't be a prick. Do something nice for the lady who put up with a big belly for nine months just to have to help you out for the next 18 years of your life. Here's how to make her feel special. If you're like us, your mom has been trying for ages to get you to go to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Give in this Sunday when you take her to Mother's Day Brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Omelets, pastries, and mimosas will be the order of the day. Visit fairchildgarden.org. And if you've been a really bad child and need to sweeten her up, take her to Moms Rock at the Miami Science Museum(3280 S. Miami Ave., Miami). There she can indulge in everything chocolate, including tastings, an exhibit about the science behind chocolate, and a chance to win chocolate gift baskets.
