The Lee Boys are a world-famous family band of six Perrine natives who went to Miami Killian Senior High School. It's three brothers — rhythm guitar man Alvin and singers Derrick and Keith Lee — alongside three nephews — pedal steel guitar player Roosevelt Collier, bassist Alvin Cordy Jr., and drummer Earl Walker — all playing an updated, Miami-style version of sacred steel music strongly influenced by funk, soul, blues, rock, and R&B.

"We throw that Miami flavor, that Latino flavor, in there, and we really enjoy the music," Alvin explains. "But it's infused with a lot of rhythm & blues and funk. This was a tradition passed down by our father. My father was taught by his uncle, and we taught our nephews. It's like a generational thing."
For the past nine years, the Lee Boys have toured the world, playing 120 shows a year and sharing the stage with Little Richard, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and the Allman Brothers. But this Friday night, the family is gonna turn out the party at the Stage.
Let it be known: Feet will stomp, bass will thump, and hips will shake. Just like Alvin says: "It's not sitting music."
