Ever been to a big music festival and after hours of booze, junk food, and blazing sun, felt like you needed to get your chi in check? In the past, you might have drunkenly laid atop a tie-dyed blanket hoping to savasana your way back to sanity. But at this weekends Wanderlust Festival at the Standard, you can get your rejuvenation on while enjoying audible awesomeness care of Bonobo and Shamans Dream. What the downward dog is Wanderlust? Think yoga retreat meets music fest sprinkled with all the amazing aquatic views and serenity-inducing amenities that the Standard has to offer (e.g., an aroma steam room, waterfall hot tub, cedar sauna, and mud lounge).
Running this Thursday through Sunday, the festival will include poolside meditation workshops, lectures, and demonstrations. It will feature elite, hand-picked presenters and around-the-clock yoga classes by well-known teachers such as Virayogas Elena Brower and Kula Yogas Schuyler Grant. And thanks to all the daytime relaxation, you can party all night in the Lido Lounge, where DJs will keep you dancing until the sun comes up. Afterward, you can sleep for an hour or two, strike a tree pose in another yoga class, take a dip in the Standards infinity pool, and check out Garth Stevenson, Prasanna, and the Mayapuris on a stage backed by the ocean.
