Some songs make you recall your youth with such incredible clarity that it seems past decades happened only days ago. December 1963 (Oh What a Night), the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons disco-era song about losing your virginity, is like a play-by-play account of a night nobody ever forgets: As I recall, it ended much too soon (So true, so true!). Frankie and his crew fashioned one of the longest and most successful music careers in history by belting out hits that never got old. Big Girls Dont Cry, Walk Like a Man, and Cant Take My Eyes Off You are anthems of our youth. And the group has been featured in cinema classics such as The Deer Hunter, Dirty Dancing, and, of course, Grease, in which Valli sang the theme song.
Close to half a century after it came into prominence, the band is still going strong. And the group continues to attract fans through the TV show The Sopranos, in which Valli plays a mafioso, and the musical Jersey Boys, based on the bands rise. But nothing lasts forever. So take advantage of the bands Wednesday performance at Seminole Hard Rock Casino.
