Plentiful and Good

Even if you’re tired from all the eye candy at Art Basel earlier this month, save room for more sweets. In honor of its 25th anniversary and Lincoln Road’s 50th, ArtCenter/South Florida is showing “Good & Plenty,” an exhibit featuring a select group of alum and current artist residents. ACSF has been fostering visual art talent since 1984, when Lincoln Road was just a forgotten pedestrian mall. The center offers subsidized workspace to nearly 50 long-term residents and a handful of short-termers Included in this alumni retrospective is work from Ellie Schneiderman, one of the ACSF founding artists, and Luis Gispert, who helped orchestrate the super-exclusive “The Island” exhibit during Basel. Local favorites TM Sisters are showing one of their silent films, and Haitian artist Edouard Duval-Carrié’s paintings are on display. “Good & Plenty” will be up until January 2.
Tuesdays-Sundays, noon. Starts: Dec. 18. Continues through Jan. 2, 2010
