Off-the-grid case in point: Transit Lounge's December 2 offering, wherein Panic Bomber (AKA Richard Haig) will throw down a live performance as show-goers are treated to an exhibit of hair and makeup artistry by Dee & Co. Salon. If you're like us, anytime our choice for 2009 Best New Electronica Artist hits a local stage, it qualifies as a notable performance. But in honor of Basel, Haig and Transit are offering something extra-special: Panic Bomber will perform with a live band.

Intrigued? Truth be told, this incarnation of the Bomber's setup makes perfect sense, considering his nebulous techno fusions always feature vocals, keys, and a three-piece horn section. Plus mastermind Haig owns a degree in music from the University of Miami and spent a generous amount of time rocking out with indie outfits before becoming an electronic demigod.
