Literary wunderkind behind the book A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, the publishing house McSweeney’s, the magazine The Believer, and the literacy project 826 Valencia, Dave Eggerswill roll into the Miami Book Fair this Saturday. At 11:30 a.m., he’ll discuss his latest, Zeitoun, his account of a true story that contains everything wrong with our stinking country. Abdulrahman Zeitoun, a Syrian-born contractor, stayed in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, canoeing through the flood to save people, only to be interned as a suspected terrorist. Way to go, America. See Eggers in the Chapman Conference Center (Building 3, Second Floor, Room 3210) this Saturday.
