British DJ-producer Carl Cox hardly needs an introduction anywhere that people get down to electronic beats, lasers, and glowsticks. A child of the late-'80s acid-house boom and "Second Summer of Love," Cox cut his teeth spinning for the rave generation at seminal UK hot spots such as the Haçienda, Fantazia, and Amnesia House. In the '90s, he expanded his sonic reach as a regular on Kiss FM and Radio One's Essential Mix, introducing his trademark big-room techno and hard-house stylings to an international audience that would eventually vote him the first winner of DJ Magazine's prestigious Top 100 DJs poll in 1997.

Today, Cox remains among the world's most famous DJs, with a perennial summer residency at Space Ibiza and regular global tours, including performances at Ultra Music Festival each year. But he hasn't played Miami outside of Ultra in almost eight years, so his upcoming Halloween performance is surely one of the most highly anticipated bookings of 2010. Plus, Cox released a Global Underground mix compilation earlier this year, and now he's working on a new album, so Mansion patrons can no doubt expect some superfresh material in addition to the big Brit's usual rave-tastic beats.
