If you're a budding hair stylist or a fan of shows like Shear Genius and Hair Battle Spectacular, you might want to hit the Miami Beach Convention Center this weekend. The SoBe Hair Show and Beauty Expo promises to gather thousands of beauty and health professionals for two days of what amounts to a beauty school crash course and a live taping of Hair Battle. Oh, we forgot to mention that Jazmine Sullivan of Def Jam Records will be performing, and she's going to be joined by some of Def Jam's A-list recording artists. We can't mention any names, but think BIG.

Some of the hair-styling industry's most prominent artists will also be at the Expo, including the aforementioned Derek J (Real Housewives of Atlanta, Hair Battle Spectacular) and Freddie J from the Chris Rock documentary Good Hair and BET's Tears, Shears, and Beauty. The Expo ties in with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and has joined forces with the American Cancer Society to bring more attention to the cause.
