Heat vs. Iron Curtain

The NBA has always been about marketing itself to the world, particularly in European and Asian markets. So what better way to showcase the league than by having the Miami Heat — led by Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh — play a foreign team and beat the crap out of it. As part of a preseason exhibition match, the Heat will host Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow this Tuesday at the American Airlines Arena. CSKA has won two Euro championships and has appeared in the past eight Euroleague Final Fours. This will be the third game CSKA plays against an NBA team this off-season, which can mean only one thing: Moscow is out to take over the world. It’s also the first time the Heat hosts an international exhibition in its own digs. When LeBron announced he was taking his talents to South Beach, everyone outside of Miami hated him. Little did they know he was saving their lives by teaming with his superfriends to rid the world of them commies once and for all. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $10. Visit heat.com.
