Screw graduate degrees and career ladders. Everyone knows the best way for a lady to make real cash is to dress tarty and swindle her suitors. But leave it a writer from The Simpsons, David Mirkin, to make this classic plot device more perverse. In his 2001 film, Heartbreakers, a woman marries rich dudes and then forces her voluptuous daughter to lure them into infidelity so she can score some alimony. The scheming pair is played by everyone’s favorite Gatekeeper (Ghostbusters reference!), Sigourney Weaver, and the best Ghost Whisperer around, Jennifer Love Hewitt. Now, we normally wouldn’t recommend a movie like this, but part of it is shot at Miami’s most luxurious crib, Vizcaya. This Thursday, you can watch Heartbreakers alfresco in the bayside estate’s lush courtyard. The Mediterranean villa setting can class up any film. The screening begins at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $15 and are available at the gate an hour before showtime.
