The Agency Reunion Show at Transit Lounge

Yes, it's been that long since the late-'90s/early-'00s swinging South Florida punk scene. As old as that might make you feel, a decade on, the nostalgic reunion shows keep coming. Glasseater played its official final show at Churchill's earlier this summer, and a Morning Again/Remembering Never gig is planned for the venue in December. In between, you can get your fix of the old Cheers/Fiddler Records scene this Saturday at Transit Lounge, when the Agency plays its own reunion gig.

Though the Agency never truly made it big, the band was at the head of a particularly fertile crop of melodic, punk-influenced rock groups that prized musicianship. Probably the only act at the time that had a singing drummer, Mike Marsh, the band also featured superb technical work from guitarist Klaus Ketelhohn and bassist Chris Drueke.

More About

Marsh was too good to stay contained, perhaps. After Chris Carrabba briefly joined the Agency as a second guitarist, he eventually poached Marsh to play full-time in Dashboard Confessional. Meanwhile, Drueke formed Seville, and Ketelhohn now plays in the South Florida punk supergroup Arsenal 88. This show marks the tenth anniversary of the band's epic Fiddler Records full-length, Engines, and a rare occasion where all three former members find themselves in the same city.
