Ever wanted to stroll into a museum as the sun goes down? Well, heres your shot: Afterhours returns to the Miami Art Museum from 6 to 9 p.m. this Thursday. At night, the city is one big art project anyway, so why not start off at an actual museum? Sound-art collectives Frozen Music and Flash Orchestra will be there to dish out auditory pleasures. Flash Orchestra leader Felecia Chizuko Carlisle describes her project as a sound-art collective that formed out of experimentation with a software called Flash, originally designed for making interactive websites and games.
Youll also have the chance to meet local artists Adler Guerrier and Mette Tommerup while Talking Head Transmitters and the PDMP Ensemble cook up something trippy. And for the literary cats in the house, Poem Depot will turn out commissioned odes on the fly.
